This is a rigid heddle intended for weaving. It measures 6,6 × 6,9 cm. It has place for 23 threads.
I make these heddles out of birch wood the is gifted to me by a neighbour. They are processed from tree trunk to weaving tool using mostly hand power, and when they are ready I paint them with linseed oil paint which is beautiful and durable. The heddles can be used for weaving slim warp facing repp bands, balanced tabby weaves and weft-facing weaves like kelim and other related techniques.
